Down Dog Sponsors Inova Children's Hospital's 8K Run/Walk
On October 10, more than 600 runners, walkers and volunteers arrived at George Mason University bright and early to participate in the Star Kid 8K Race and Family Fun Run. The event was a great success, raising more than $75,000 for the pediatric heart program at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children. Participants enjoyed a warm-up led by Sport & Health and a cool-down stretch led by Down Dog Yoga. Additionally, MIX 107.3 was on hand to play music and kids enjoyed a moonbounce, face-painters and a balloon artist. Awards were given to the top three male and female finishers, as well as age-category winners. stretches and poses!
Down Dog at the Herndon Festival
Down Dog Yoga was proud to be one of the major sponsors of the 2009 Herndon Festival. The four-day event in May 2009 had it all - live music, 5k and 10k road races, carnival rides, arts & crafts, and even fireworks. We were thrilled to be part of all that fun.
