What should I bring with me to class?
A mat, towel and water. Don’t have a mat yet? Don’t sweat it, we have one for you to rent for $3! Hot power yoga is a sweaty adventure, and the more you sweat the more slippery your mat will get. So bring a towel with you, or rent one of ours for $3.

What do I wear?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that you don’t mind sweating in! You may want to bring a change of clothing for after class.

What is the temperature of the room?
We heat our studios between 90-95 degrees. This is a fun, sweaty practice. The temperature of the room, combined with the physical intensity of the practice will cause you to sweat and burn calories and fat. You will get in the best shape you have ever been in if you stick with it! Drink plenty of water before and after your practice so you stay hydrated.

What if I’m stiff or out of shape?
Join the Club! So were we when we took our first class. Don’t worry about it. Accept where you are, and just get started. The hardest part is getting onto your mat for the first time. Beginners are welcome in any of our classes and we will give you modifications to support you. You don’t have to be super bendy to do this practice and we will help you build strength and flexibility at a pace that suits you!

What time should I arrive for class?
For your first visit, please arrive at least 15 minutes early. This will give you ample time to register at the front desk, fill out a new- student waiver, and become better acquainted with our teachers, staff, and our studio. It’s always a good idea to arrive early for class so that you can sign in, say hi to your friends, and get settled on your mat and be ready to roll!

Does Down Dog offer private lessons?
Yes! Feel free to send us an email to info@downdogyoga.com. One of our team members will give you a call to set it up. Private lessons are a great way to get specific questions answered, work with an injury, or learn about our practice. Please also remember that our teachers are always available to answer questions after class.

You will need a credit card or cash for some essentials. 

Everything you need is available at the studio. You can bring your own yoga mat, a towel, and water, but we also have these items for sale/to rent at our studios. You will sweat a lot, so drink plenty of water beforehand to hydrate. And remember: Show up, be lighthearted, be ready for anything and have fun!
